RARE HANDMADE PASTA OF THE WEEK: Chestnut flour Corzetti (Liguria) 10
Corzetti are a unique kind of pasta from Liguria, in North-west Italy. Each coin shaped pasta is stamped with a design on both sides. The name itself derives from a 14th century Genoan coin, the corzetto. In the past they were made by local peasants & used by aristocratic families as a display of wealth & status.

Ciao! Noi siamo Ben, Michaela e Daniel. Piacere!
We are husband and wife – Ben and Michaela – and best friend – Daniel – and we are all fiercely proud of our Italian heritage, which covers top to bottom: Veneto, Lazio, Abruzzo and Sicilia.
Zecca is a laidback, casual eatery housed in the iconic art deco Rural Bank building (built in the late 30’s) and what better way could we pay homage to this building’s past than with our name, “Zecca”, which means “mint/money press” in Italian. Zecca di Venezia is a sixteenth-century building in Venice which once housed the mint of the Republic of Venice!
The true food of Italy is what we serve you here at Zecca, and we are bringing the old, sometimes lost, recipes back to life.
Rare, unknown and obscure pasta shapes are our thing. We look to the past for our menu inspiration and we don’t reinvent the wheel.
We’re about bringing real Italian food to the food bowl of the Riverina.
